Machine vision · Gist Point

Industrial machine vision.

Inspection, robot guidance, traceability and metrology with a measurable criterion. The camera is one part: the project includes light, optics, software, integration and validation.

For parts that cannot be checked by eye, processes that need data and robots that must see before picking.

Applications

What we solve with vision

We do not sell a loose camera: we define the problem, the acceptance criterion and the integration. These are the three base applications.

Technology

What is behind a vision cell

Imaging, lighting, optics, software and integration define the result. Technology is chosen for the defect or task, not for the brand.

2D vision

Color, texture, presence and planar position. The basis for labels, assembly, codes and surface defects.

3D vision

Height, volume, profile and orientation. For stacked parts, welds, wear and bin picking.

Lighting and optics

Light and lens solve the defect before the algorithm. They are chosen by geometry, material and speed.

AI and learning

For variable defects or textures hard to describe with rules. Requires labeled samples and validation.

GigE Vision and USB3 Vision

Industrial camera connectivity standards. They simplify integration, distance and equipment compatibility.

Software and integration

Processing, recipes, logging and PLC, MES or ERP communication. The interface is part of the project.

Method

How we work

  1. 01

    1. Define the problem

What must be detected, measured or read; what is acceptable and what is not.

  2. 02

    2. Trial with your part

Photos, samples and borderline cases to confirm lighting, optics and algorithm.

  3. 03

    3. Design the cell

Camera, mounting, trigger, reject, PLC/MES and safety.

  4. 04

    4. Validate and document

False positives, false negatives, repeatability and acceptance criteria.

Technical resources

Material to assess vision

Reference technical documents on 3D imaging, protocols, processing and networks. They are reference material, not an equipment offer.

Frequently asked questions

What to know before investing

What is industrial machine vision?

It is the use of cameras, lighting, optics and software to inspect, measure, identify or guide a machine. It is not just a camera: it is a system with acceptance criteria and integration.

How is it different from robot vision?

Industrial vision includes inspection, traceability and metrology. Robot vision is one application: locating and orienting a part so the robot can pick or place it.

Do I need AI for inspection?

Not always. Many defects are solved with rules, measurements or color. AI is justified when the defect varies and cannot be described with simple thresholds.

Can it integrate with the existing line?

Yes, with trigger, encoder, PLC, MES or ERP. The interface and reject logic are defined before commissioning.

How is an inspection validated?

With good, bad and borderline parts, measuring false positives and false negatives. Validation is documented and repeated with the real part.

Do you work in Argentina and neighboring countries?

Yes. Assessment and integration are coordinated from Córdoba for Argentina, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay.

Have a part or process to assess?

Send photos or a video of the process and we will define whether a vision trial, an assessment or a complete cell makes sense.
